Safeguarding

Safeguarding at South Park Primary School

South Park Primary School is committed to the safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of all pupils. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and we expect all staff, governors, parents, carers, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

It is the professional duty of all staff to report to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads about any concerns that they have about the welfare and safety of any child.

The DSL/DDSL will take advice from the relevant Borough's Child Protection Advisory Team and has a duty to refer information, but not investigate. Records are kept and our children's wellbeing monitored. The school complies with the referral processes of the relevant Borough. It is our professional responsibility to share information with other agencies in order to safeguard children.

Our named governor for Child Protection and Safeguarding is Imran Mustak.

If you are concerned about the welfare or safety of a child, you should contact the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) via their out-of-hours service after 5:00pm and at weekends on 020 8708 5897.

If a child is in immediate danger, please contact the Police on 999.

If you are under 18, you can contact Childline on 0800 11 11
