British Values Week

In September, South Park Primary School hosted a British Values Week.

Children throughout the school learnt about the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.

We recognised that many other countries and people in the world support and promote these values as well. Each year group focussed on a specific value and lessons were taught around that theme. We were lucky to have some special visitors coming in such as the Police in Year 6 and several volunteer speakers from the human rights charity Amnesty International in Year 4. As part of this week we also celebrated Culture Day where adults and pupils wear clothes from their home culture of in the colours of their country’s flag/s. We hope you enjoy the photos.
